Passport Services

The Embassy of India, Bahrain caters to the requirement of about 3.5 lakh Indian nationals residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Embassy has outsourced following services to M/s International Verification Services Company, Bahrain:
  1. Issue/re-issue of Passport
  2. Renewal of Passport
  3. Issue of Police Clearance Certificate or any other misc. certificate based on the Passport
IMPORTANT
  1. Fee mentioned is as prescribed by the Government of India and is subject to change without prior notice. The applicable fee will be informed to the applicant at the counter at the time of acceptance of documents.
  2. Reference cases relate to passports issued by Passport Offices in India and Indian Embassies/High Commissions/Consulates other than Embassy of India, Bahrain
  3. Cases requiring reference will be serviced upon receipt of clearance from the concerned Passport office in India/Indian Missions and Posts abroad. Service will be rendered after 30 days from the date of issue of the Embassy's communication if no reply is received within this time.
  4. 1 Recent photo (not older than three months, no uniform) with white background with DARK DRESS and frontal view (51 mm x 51 mm). Ears, forehead to chin to be completely visible.
  5. Passport Service Form and Personal Particulars Form as also certain commonly required affidavits are available in the Embassy or can be downloaded from the website.
  6. Change Of address in Passport: - Aadhar card. If Aadhar Card is not available or does not have new address then below to be accompanied with two more proof of address. Below is List of documents

    1. Ration Card
    2. Telephone Bill
    3. Election Commission’s Identity Card
    4. Gas connection
    5. Pass Book/Account Statement from Bank/Post Office
    6. Driving License
    7. Spouse’s Passport copy
    8. Parents’ passport copy (in case of Minors)
    9. Income Tax assessment order /return
    10. Residential Property Papers In the name of applicant
    11. Water bill ( from India) In the name of applicant
    12. Electricity Bill (from India) in the name of applicant
  7. Proof of residence submitted in a language other than Hindi/English, should be accompanied with a translation in Hindi/English in the prescribed sworn affidavit.
Change of address for Minors:- As per Parents’ Passport only.

Change of Name or Splitting Given Name or Sequence Change in Name:-
Do one time registration at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/ (Passport Seva at Indian Embassies and Consulates) and create a USER ID. Login using the newly created USER ID and fill in the user-friendly application form online at the same portal. After submitting the form online, take a print out of the application.

01) Change of Name:

For Complete/substantial name change an applicant should furnish:
  1. Original newspaper cuttings announcing the change of name published in two leading daily newspapers (one in India in the area of the applicant’s present address and another in Bahrain).
  2. 2 Documentary proof showing name to desired change.
  3. In certain cases approval from Embassy is required.
Married woman wishing to revert to maiden name when not divorced or widowed the same above procedure (for complete name change) to be followed.

02) Change/addition of surname:

For Change/addition of surname an applicant should furnish:
  1. Original newspaper cuttings announcing the change of name published in two leading daily newspapers (one in India in the area of the applicant’s present address and another in Bahrain.
  2. Documentary proof showing name to desired change.
  3. In certain cases approval from embassy is required.
03)Shifting of words of various parts of existing name without inserting/deleting any words/letters in the existing name then Prescribed Deed Poll/Sworn Affidavit (e.g., Parmeshwaran Shiva Kumaran to Given name :-Shiva Parmeshwaran Surname :-Kumaran). Approval from Embassy is required.

04) Changing arrangements of various parts of existing name without inserting/deleting any words/letters in the existing name (e.g., Parmeshwaran Shiva Kumaran to Shiva Parmeshwaran Kumaran). Local Original newspaper cuttings is required with Prescribed Deed Poll/Sworn Affidavit.

PCC :-( Police Clearance Certificate)

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED BY PCC APPLICANTS EMIGRATING TO NON-ECR COUNTRIES:
  • Passport in original with self-attested photocopy of its first two and last two pages including ECR/Non-ECR page and page of observation (if any).
  • Proof of Present Address (in case of change of address).
  • Documentary proof of applying for Residential Status, Employment (Copy of Employment contract) or Long term visa or for immigration.
  • In Some Cases Prior Approval from Embassy required.

Login using the newly created USER ID and fill in the user-friendly application form online at the same portal. After submitting the form online, take a print out of the application.
NRI Certificate: -To applied at Indian Embassy.

Adding spouse name: - Registered Marriage certificate, ID proof of the Spouse (Passport copy or any other ID issued from Indian Government).
