General Information

A tourist visa can only be granted to a foreigner who does not have a residence or occupation in India and whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives. No other activity is permissible on a Tourist Visa. The Tourist visa is non-extendable and non-convertible.

For Bahrain Nationals:

1. 51mm x 51 mm 2 Recent Passport size photos not older than 3 month white background & Dark color dress ( Frontal view, Forehead and eyebrows should be visible in case of local wearing Arabic head dress the background should be off white, Scanned / Edited / Re sized photograph not acceptable ).
2. Properly filled up online application form with 2 signatures ( Visa application form ).
3. Original passport with photocopy.
4. 6 months validity should be there in the passport.
5. Minimum 2 blank pages in the passport.
6. Flight tickets and hotel booking required

For Bahrain Residents:

4. 6 months validity should be there in the passport.
5. Minimum 2 blank pages in the passport.
6. Copy of Hotel Booking Conformation & Flight Ticket.
7. Cabin crews/Pilots - ID card copy.
8. Housemaids/Servants- NOC from Sponsor and Sponsor’s passport copy.
9. Journalist – Copy of ID card/ Press Accreditation card.

Ensure the following while submitting your Indian visa application.

1. Original passport and photocopies of relevant pages.
2. 6 months validity should be there in the passport.
3. Minimum 2 blank pages in the passport.
4. Online visa form filled up by the applicant and printed from the link : www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa.
7. GCC nationals must provide a copy of a valid photo ID issued from Bahrain.

GUIDELINES : The validity of the visa is effective from the date of issue. The Embassy/Consulate reserves the right to ask for additional documents. Submission of application along with prescribed fee does not guarantee issuance of visa.

NOTE:

  • Applicants applying for India Visa to ensure that the signature on the application matches the signature on their passport.
  • Applicants from countries like Yemen, Jordan, Libya, Sudan and Palestine will have to be physically present at the center while submitting their Indian Visa application and approval from Embassy is required.

PROCESS

Step 1
Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy. Step 2
Complete you visa application form and affix your photograph. You may download the form from this websites.

Step 3
Ensure photos are as per specifications.

Step 4
Attach all supporting documents required as per checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications are not accepted.

Step 5
Submit your application at the India Visa centre in Bahrain along with the applicable fees in cash.

Step 6
Track your application online

Step 7
Collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre.
