Documents Required
General Information
Business Visa is granted to a foreign national who wants to visit India to establish an
industrial/business venture or to explore possibilities to set up
industrial/business venture, or wants to purchase/sell industrial products in India. This Visa is
granted subject to following conditions:
- The applicant is a person of assured financial standing and expertise in the field of the intended
business.
- The applicant is not visiting India for the business of money-lending or petty-trading, or for a
full time employment in India involving payment of salary in India etc.
- The facility of Business Visa is also extended to senior executives of firms, experts, tour
conductors and travel agents, etc., visiting India in connection with work related
to projects of national importance, including those undertaken by public sector undertakings, and
conducting business tours of foreigners or business relating to it, etc.
- A foreign national will have to comply with all other requirements like payment of tax liabilities
etc.
- The grant of Business Visa is subject to any instructions issued by the Government of India on the
basis of reciprocity with other foreign countries from time to time.
- The Business Visa must be issued from the country of origin, or from the country of domicile of
the foreigner provided the period of permanent residence of that applicant in that particular
country is for more than 2 years.
Documents Requirements:
- 51mm x 51 mm 2 Recent Passport size photos not older than 3 month white background & Dark color
dress ( Frontal view, Forehead and eyebrows should be visible in case of local wearing Arabic head
dress the background should be off white, Scanned / Edited / Re sized photograph not acceptable ).
- Properly filled up online application form with signatures
(www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa)
- Original passport.
- 6 months validity should be there in the passport.
- Minimum 2 blank pages in the passport.
- Passport photocopy with the Bahrain residence visa page (Current & Old to prove 2 years residence
in Bahrain).
- Letter of Invitation from the company in India and trade license copy of Indian company.
- Local company letter giving the position of applicant in the company, the reason for the visit
with particulars of companies to be visited and it has mentioned that company will take entire
responsibility for the travel.
- CR Copy of the Local Company.
- Fax Form (If not completed 2years residence in Bahrain).
- Applicants from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Nigeria, Somalia, Iran, Iraq and
PAK-Origin foreigners are required to fill Reference Form for MHA India.
- One original and one copy of all document for business visa.
- Original & one set of photo copy to be attached
For CHINESE NATIONALS (in addition to the above-mentioned requirements)
- Copy of Letter of Incorporation from Registrar of Companies & a copy of Certificate of
Registration from Chamber of Commerce are required upon submission of application.
Business Visa for Recruitment (Prior approved from Embassy of India, AUH
Requierd)

- 6 months validity should be there in the passport.
- Minimum 2 blank pages in the passport.
- Letter from local employee sponsoring the trip stating the details of recruitment staff and
details of recruitment.
- CR copy of Local Company.
- Letter of Invitation from the company in India assisting in recruitment.
- Indian company’s Trade License copy.
- Applicants from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Nigeria, Somalia, Iran, Iraq and
PAK-Origin foreigners are required to fill Reference Form for MHA India.
- Power of Attorney (in duplicate) Annexure-I.
- Demand Letter (in duplicate) Annexure-II.
- Specimen Work Agreement for each category of workers (in duplicate) Annexure III.
- Undertaking in case of un-skilled/ semi skilled workers. Annexure IV.
- Company's contact details and brief history - Annexure V.
- Consulate Permit - Annexure VI.
Please ensure the following while submitting your Indian visa application.
- Original passport and photocopies of relevant pages.
- 6 months validity should be there in the passport.
- Minimum 2 blank pages in the passport.
- Online visa form filled up by the applicant and printed from the link :
www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa.
- GCC nationals must provide a copy of a valid photo ID issued from Bahrain.
Other Information
Non Residents are not eligible:
The validity of the visa is effective from the date of issue. Each visa applications considered on its
merits and the Indian Embassy/Consulate may ask for additional information at any
stage during the processing of the application. Submission of application along with prescribed fee does
not guarantee issuance of the visa.
Eligibility for Business Visa
- Foreign nationals who want to visit India to establish industrial/business venture or to explore
possibilities to set up industrial/business venture in India.
- Foreign nationals coming to India to purchase/sell industrial products or commercial products or
consumer durables.
- Foreign nationals coming to India for technical meetings/discussions, attending Board meetings,
general meetings for providing business services support.
- Foreign nationals coming to India for recruitment of manpower.
- Foreign nationals who are partners in the Business and/or functioning as Directors in the company.
- Foreign nationals coming to India for consultations regarding exhibitions, for participation in
exhibitions, trade fairs, business fairs, etc.
- Foreign buyers who come to transact business with suppliers/ potential suppliers at locations in
India, to evaluate or monitor quality, give specifications, place orders, negotiate further supplies
etc., relating to goods or services procured from India.
- Foreign experts/specialists on a visit of short duration in connection with an ongoing project
with the objective of monitoring the progress of the work, conducting meetings with Indian customers
and/or to provide some high level technical guidance.
- Foreign nationals coming to India for pre-sales or post-sales activity not amounting to actual
execution of any contract or project.
- Foreign Trainees of multinational companies/corporate houses coming for in-house training in the
regional hubs of the concerned company located in India.
- Foreign students sponsored by AIESEC for internship on project based work in companies/industries.

VISA APPLYING
PROCESS
Step 1
Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your
‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the
entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on
choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature,
we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take
to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy. You may refer to

Step 2
Complete you visa application form and affix your
photograph. You may download the form from this websites.
Step 3
Ensure photos are as per specifications.
Step 4
Attach all supporting documents required as per checklist.
Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications are not
accepted.
Step 5
Submit your application at the India Visa centre in Bahrain
along with the applicable fees in cash.
Step 6
Track your application online
Step 7
Collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre.
